Description
SUMMARY: Responsible for all coordination duties related directly to preventative maintenance, art, documentation, and the overall maintenance department. Ensures continued availability and the requisition of all required parts for the maintenance department while assisting in the continuous improvement of the preventative maintenance program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Process all incoming requisitions for parts in coordination with the maintenance manager, maintenance specialists and plant maintenance.
- Accountable to develop the knowledge, skills, and abilities in the areas of optimal parts coordination, becoming a subject matter expert on CMMS (Computerized maintenance Management Systems) utilization, and develop a wide knowledge and understanding of effective maintenance parts.
- Work with all plant groups and levels and within each of the aspect of the equipment maintenance team, including suppliers and OEM representatives, contractors and safety systems support vendors, internal and external auditors, and all ISO, GMP and Supply Chain (purchasing groups).
- Supports continuous improvement activities related to safety, quality, and cost.
- Work within an interdisciplinary and intercultural team.
- Receive, sort, and catalog all incoming and outgoing parts.
- Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in a parts room, tool room, warehouse, or other locations.
- Maintain records of amount, kind, and location of parts, supplies, and materials.
- Prepare requisitions and order to replenish pats, supplies and materials
- Communicate availability of parts ordered to the person who prepared the requisition.
- Work with the maintenance department on new and upcoming projects that require parts.
- Gather and set out parts for planned project work for maintenance personnel.
- Assist in the monitoring of daily, weekly, and yearly PM programs.
- Assist in the scheduling of preventative maintenance with the maintenance manager and professional maintenance specialists.
- Develop and maintain the filing system for maintenance documents and records, including all PM records.
- Adhered to all health and safety polices/procedures and GMPs.
- Responsible to adhere to fool quality and food safety as er quality standards and/or ISO requirements.
- Identification of parts, packaging of parts into smaller multiple stock-keeping units for easy identification and location.
- Maintain budgets and ensure that additional costs are authorized at the appropriate level.
- Responsible for periodic inventory counts, making general adjustments to inventory when shortages/overages occur, processing returns and performing basic queries to find parts, purchase orders, requisitions, etc.
- Housekeeping duties for prevention of injury and damage to property will also be required (relocating binds and peg hooks, maintaining clear aisle ways, pick up spilled parts, straightening up fixtures etc.)
- Other duties may be assigned or requested.

Requirements
COMPETENCIES: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated supervisory and organizational skills. Must be flexible to work alternate shifts if production needs allow.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Previous experience in the food/beverage manufacturing industry preferred.
Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma/GED preferred but not required. Five years working experience in a parts coordinator/specialist role or a related field preferred. Experience working with a Computerized Maintenance Management Systems in a Food/Beverage Manufacturing Preferred.
- Language Skills: Ability to analyze and interpret written instruction. Ability to present and respond to common inquires.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to provide guidance around formula validations and yield calculations.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to define problems, analyze, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions.

TRAVEL REQUIRED: Travel may be required locally to pick up parts or supplies.
