We are looking for a QA Engineer and a part of a QA team responsible for implementing QA strategies and solutions that meet the needs of our systems. The individual will implement the standards and processes of the organization in a collaborative manner with the QA Architect and overall team. This role is hands on with the ideal candidate having QA experience in an Agile environment.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

Lead QA initiatives within the project/organization assigned
Work with business to align expectations in line with quality practices
Analyze defects, metrics and conduct hand-on testing
Identify automation opportunities and incorporate those opportunities into the general automation implementation/strategy

Essential Skills & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Related fields
2+ years working with Automated testing frameworks and supporting tools such as Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, Maven and Ranorex
Experience with testing web services (e.g. RESTful APIs) and tools associated (e.g. SOAP UI, Fiddler, Etc.)
Experience operating and delivering in an agile environment such as SAFe/Scrum/Kanban.
Proficiency use of Microsoft Office programs including Visio, Word, Outlook and strong Excel skills
Experience working with various Test Management solutions such as ALM, Zephyr, TFS Test Module, etc.
Experience in creating/modifying and DB queries from SQL or MongoDB based databases
Excellent analytical, organization and time management skill with a focus on attention to detail.
Work within team environment and ability to align with team goals and objectives
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships
Self-motivated with the desire to consistently improve performance and gain further knowledge
Ability to meet deadlines, learn quickly and demonstrate effective problem solving and follow-up skills

Requirements:

5-7 years IT experience in a Software QA or Automation development capacity
Ability to drill down into the details of a delivery request without losing sight of the big picture.
Ability to work well within a team environment and demonstrate a vested interest in team goals and objectives.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships
Self-motivated with the desire to consistently improve performance and gain further knowledge

Preferred Skills:

Experience in power, distribution, and the energy industry
Experience multiple operating systems including Windows, Linux, MacOS
Experience with various branching & merging testing strategies
Experience with Agile work management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Axosoft, etc.
