Automation Engineer
 
Ideally, seeking candidates local to the Franklin, TN office, though open to 100% remote for the perfect fit. Core hours are 8 am-5 pm CST. Occasional overtime (maybe 1 week per quarter).
 
Quality Automation Engineers build and advance technologies and products leveraged across the organization and healthcare. Our client is shaping the future of Utilization Management through our advanced platform. We are looking for engineers to be versatile, display a passion for leadership, and challenge the status quo. In this role, you will deliver solutions that align with the end-user as a member of a highly autonomous Scrum Team. You will help create solutions and deliver backlog items in support of a multi-data center, active-active, event-driven platform that is backed by Kafka. Your contributions will include the design and delivery of cloud-deployable microservice solutions, as well as platform components and packages for use by other development teams. As a QA automation engineer, you will leverage advanced programming skills, be detail-oriented, mentor, and provide guidance in testing, automation, and quality.
 
Skills/Responsibilities
  • Build modern, architecturally sound components, tools, and applications.
  • Own and deliver innovative solutions for large-scale automated testing strategies, quality assurance, and data analysis.
  • Collaborate with peers to deliver quality technology.
  • Bring Quality Engineering discipline to design and problem-solving.
  • Contribute to general Engineering practice improvement efforts.
  • Provide technical leadership to our teams, enhancing test automation framework and evolving test environment.
  • Evaluating and continually improving automated software test procedures.
  • Evangelize best practices.
  • Maintain and support the automation framework.
  • Troubleshoot automation software and finalize system procedures.
  • Identify software application weaknesses and target areas.
  • Review incident reports and highlight problem areas.
  • Identify quality issues and create test reports.
  • End-User Focus.
 
Experience
  • 5+ years of mid-layer Test Automation experience at all levels.
  • 5+ years of Software Development Experience in Microsoft Stack.
  • 5+ years in software development in C# and one or more other programming languages.
  • 5+ years Software Development Experience in an agile/extreme programming environment.
  • Knowledge of Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and Test Driven Development (TDD).
  • Good knowledge of test methodologies.
  • Experience in Automation Tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Cucumber, Jest, Jasmine, etc.).
  • Experience in Automation Frameworks (e.g., NUnit, TestNG, etc.).
  • Experience in React or another JavaScript framework (Angular 5+, Vue, Angularjs).
  • Experience in Microservice Architecture.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jenkins, and TFS.
  • Exposure to SOLID, Architectural Patterns, and Development Best Practices.
  • Kafka knowledge is a plus.
  • NoSQL Solutions are a plus.
  • Experience building in Event-Driven Architecture is a plus.
  • Docker experience is a plus.
  • Terraform experience is a plus.
 
Education
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science or a related field PREFERRED, or equivalent relevant work experience and technical knowledge.
