TITLE: Hotel Accounting Supervisor
REPORTS TO: Corporate Accounting Manager, Controller and Property Manager
FLSA CLASS: Salary Exempt

**Description of the Position:**
The Hotel Accounting Supervisors primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to General Ledger Accounting and Financial Reporting. General Ledger functions include: all reports (averages, labor, variance reports etc), reviewing all financial data for the month, balancing the bank account and preparing and posting final journal entries in a timely manner. Additional responsibilities include managing and overseeing the Hotel Accounting Assistants Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. This position requires mental agility and the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast paced and deadline oriented environment. The Hotel Accounting Supervisor must also have the ability to work well independently and as a member of a team. Each employee will be expected to perform their job in a safe manner and report any safety concerns to Management. All McMenamin employees will also be expected to keep current on all company events, history, and products. Other duties as assigned by the Corporate Accounting Manager, Controller and the Property Manager.
**Requirements of the Job:**
* Previous accounting experience required, including AP, AR and GL
* Previous supervisory experience preferred
* Ability to work with numbers and 10-key
* Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word Knowledge
* Ability to manage multiple and ongoing tasks simultaneously
* Ability to accurately process and analyze data under a deadline
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
* Customer service experience and excellent people skills
* Ability to work in a team environment
* Ability to effectively manage others in a positive, professional manner
**Essential Functions of the Job:**
* Excellent communication skills both written and oral
* Work on a computer terminal and at a desk for long periods
* Must have a value for diversity and the ability to work with individuals from different backgrounds
* Fine hand manipulation and repetitive use of hands, including typing, writing, filing, 10 key, etc.
* Communicate in a positive and effective manner with employees, co-workers, managers, and vendors
* Ability to work the hours necessary to complete the job
* Ability to remain calm and friendly in a high volume, deadline oriented environment
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
**Non-Essential Functions of the Job:**
* Safely lift and carry heavy objects with a hand truck or the help of another person if necessary
* Climb stairs
