This person emphasizes meticulous inspection processes and procedures. This person also establishes the scheduling and commitment of this department with the Quality Engineer. This person takes possession of the parts for inspection and preparation and distributes them appropriately to his team for processing. This person is the person to whom the prep and inspection team reports to with questions and for clarification. When defects or flaws are detected, the Lead will confer with the Quality Engineer on further course of action. This person should be training a second-in-command for absences, and for the potential increase of work flow. Reports to: Quality Engineer Job Description Take ownership of Front-End Parts Prep & Inspection Mechanical inspection Dimensional data collection Direct team to follow guidelines, functions, and understood procedures Coordinate with Quality Engineer to adhere to job-specific guidelines Monitor, inspect, and take ownership of parts once they are received into inspection area Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the overall inspection area Direct team to prepare and inspect parts per specific job requirements Must have a high attention to detail Read gauges and micrometers Follow established safety rules and regulations Requirements Work well under pressure Good communication skills Detail-oriented and organized Mechanical inspection experience required Must be reliable and responsible Good-natured, cooperative attitude Excellent attention to detail Basic math skills Clear Communication Skills – Comprehend and verbally express results and conclusions Critical Evaluation and thinking Physical Requirements Shop experience a plus Ability to stand, stoop, bend, twist and maintain a stationary position for prolonged periods of time Complete repetitive movements with hands, arms, wrists, shoulders, as necessary Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable Lift, move, or transport items up to 30 pounds without assistance or injury Specific visual abilities to examine parts Wear protective clothing Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances Employee Benefits Management training opportunities Generous employee compensation & benefits packages #J-18808-Ljbffr
