Prep Cook Job Description:

The Prep Cook completes basic food prepping tasks as directed by the Executive Chef. Their main duties include preparing food for the various kitchen stations, cleaning up the prep area and making sure the kitchen is stocked.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Sets up food items and other necessary supplies.
  • Label and stock ingredients on shelves to be organized and accessible.
  • Ensures that the daily prep tasks are completed prior to service.
  • Prepares foods by operating a variety of kitchen equipment to measure and mix ingredients, washing, peeling, cutting and shredding fruits and vegetables, and trimming and cutting meat, poultry, or fish.
  • Maintain a clean work station area, including kitchen equipment, tables, and shelves
  • Perform additional tasks as may be assigned
Qualifications:
  • Ability to read and follow cooking directions
  • Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods, bend, stretch, and lift/carry up to 50 lbs.


AM or PM Shifts available
Must be available to work weekends and some holidays
