Job title: CNC Programmer/CNC Engineer Location: Bloomfield, CT Duration: 12+ months (Possibility of extension) Pay rate: $45-50/hr on W2 depending on experience Description: ON-SITE POSITION Summary: Research and investigate the design, functionality, and maintenance of mechanical products, equipment, systems, and processes. Ability to create engineering drawings, read and interpret blueprints, and utilize computer applications related to the engineering field. Must-haves: Root Cause & Corrective Action Studies CAD G-Code programming for CNC machines Preferred Experience: Fanuc - experience preferred Okuma – experience preferred Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience 8-10 years of experience required Exercises independent judgment with minimal supervision Skills: Required: Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability Required: Team player, detail-oriented, critical thinker, innovative Required: Strong leadership and mentoring skills, ability to provide constructive feedback Typically required: Advanced ability in sketches, engineering drawings, computations, reading blueprints, and interpreting technical drawings Typically required: Previous experience with CAD and other engineering software Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: Study time, motion, methods, and speed involved in maintenance, production, and operations to establish standard production rate and improve efficiency Review worker logs, product processing sheets, and specification sheets to ensure adherence to quality assurance specifications Review and approve work assignments based on worker performance, machine capacity, production schedules, and delays Review charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling, and machine utilization Evaluate data and reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards Recommend modifications to quality or production standards for optimal quality within equipment capability Recommend revisions to operations, material handling, equipment layout, or other changes to increase production or improve standards
