Quality Engineer

to be responsible for tracking component failures from the field and internal material incidents. The position will lead the analysis and resolutions of issues with Research and Development, Operations, and Purchasing.
Primary responsibilities will include:
Statistically analyze data for trends to apply corrective actions with processes, labor, material, equipment, and work environment for continuous improvement and providing highest quality to customers
Manage Field Failures for Operations, working with manufacturing manager, supervisors, technicians, quality personnel, purchasing and Research and Development Engineering

Maintain assigned Field Failure in the reporting system with investigation documents, root cause, and corrective actions
Schedule and lead meetings to address Field Failures and Material Incidents
Maintain Material Incident Report (MIR) trends in the Field Failure System for Research and Development and Purchasing awareness of issues and corrective actions

Analyze MIR data and provide reports detailing issues and corrective actions

Work with Manager and IT to improve data collection, dashboard, and reports to identify trends and areas of quality concern to be addressed
Lead daily, weekly Material Review Board to ensure that items in quarantine are acted on by applicable department Quality, Engineering, Planning, Manufacturing, Logistics and Purchasing

Participate and present updates and trends at monthly/bi-weekly corporate Field Failure meetings
Create standard reports for management and research and development as needed with respect to Field Failures and Material incidents
Support Corporate Corrective Actions as assigned
Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:
Bachelors degree or Certification in Quality Control, Inspection, Auditing or Engineering or related field, or related experience
Minimum of five years in quality assurance / inspection role within a related industry preferred
Experience leading / interfacing with teams and multiple departments
ISO-9001 Compliance, Mechanical print reading including GD&T, and Electrical Print reading experience preferred
Understanding of mechanical and electrical panel assembly and test
