POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for managing and analyzing financial tasks, including overseeing monthly closings of the general ledger for sales, cost of sales, related expenses, and profit. Additionally, they will assist in preparing and analyzing cost standards, financial statements, investment analysis, and related balance sheet accounts.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  • Analyze, summarize, and report financial performance, KPIs, and trends for operating companies and corporate shared services.
  • Understand business processes, people, and relevant technology to identify, configure, and communicate useful information. Provide practical business counsel to support accounting, finance, business units, shared services, and other project teams across the organization.
  • Provide business/financial analysis and decision support to enable management to evaluate alternatives, make fact-based decisions, and assess the consequences of decisions.
  • Perform month-end financial close activities, including preparing and/or reviewing various journal entries, reconciliations, analyses, and reporting.
  • Execute special projects and ad-hoc analyses as needed.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND BACKGROUND:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the accounting/finance field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • MBA or CPA preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills are necessary.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
