Respiratory Therapist

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Deliver and instruct patient on use of home medical respiratory equipment, in person or via telephone, and advise client of warning signs as to when to call physicianProvide respiratory skills to patients in the field as directed by physician ordersProvide exceptional care to patients and clientsWork well with client family members to ensure comfort and respect for the client's illnessDemonstrate a professional attitude at all times, being polite and respectful in interactions with employees, patients/customers, referral sources, and vendors. Includes maintaining a professional appearance with clothing, grooming and personal hygieneMaintain current knowledge of and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures; respond to complaints and incidents promptly and report through proper channels in a timely fashionManage relationships with employees, vendors, physicians, and other referral sources.Carries phone for after-hours emergency on-call services, scheduled for a one-week call period, approximately one week a monthResponsible to perform other duties as assigned by managementThis role covers Murfreesboro, TN, Franklin, TN, Dickson, TN, Clarksville, TN, and Columbia, TN.Qualifications: Must be a licensed Respiratory Therapist (RT)1-2 years' experience in respiratory care, either in acute or home settingMust be able to demonstrate knowledge of the respiratory care field and ability to act as a resource for peers and non-clinical staffOrganization and the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time are very important for a successful candidateExcellent communication skills, both written and oral are also requiredMust have a valid, state-issued driver's license with a good driving recordYou will be expected to work during normal business hours, which are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Please note this job description is not designed to cover and/or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
