Is this your next job Read the full description below to find out, and do not hesitate to make an application. Cabell Huntington Hospital is looking for a dedicated Staff Pharmacist to join our team. In this role, you'll be part of a decentralized pharmacy model, which allows for more direct patient interaction and tailored medication management. Your focus will likely be on ensuring safe and effective medication use for a diverse patient population, collaborating closely with healthcare teams. Shift / FTE: Full-time; Day Shift with Flexible Hours; typically, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. based on clinical rounding of the team or other clinical responsibilities. Key responsibilities may include: Conducting medication therapy management including compounding and dispensing medications and supplies to inpatients and outpatients Reviewing and verifying medication orders Participating in patient rounds and interdisciplinary teams Educating patients and staff about medications Monitoring of medication administration through profile reviews, as well as active participation in clinical programs. Ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations and protocols Responsible for dispensing of the following: 750 IV admixtures daily; 2,250 units of medications daily; 200 out-patient prescriptions.
