Design of stopes and subsequent drill and blast plans to maintain minimal dilution and maximum recovery. Develop, implement, and record mine information to ensure safe and economic target delivery. Reconciliation of mined plan versus actual to identify improvement areas. Interact with all members of the technical and operational mining team and ensure goal unity through concise communication. Actively identifying risks and threats to safely achieve targets and develop, establish, and manage programs to ensure risk elimination/minimisation. Apprising the Senior Engineer of issues that may affect safe and efficient production through frequent communication in an appropriate manner. Enhancing the capability of the business to achieve improved performance and growth by actively contributing to business and cultural improvement initiatives, encouraging team members to participate, and identifying barriers to goal achievement. Undertake additional/alternative responsibilities as reasonably requested by the Senior Engineer: Production. Facilitating the Lean and Short-interval control meetings. About you: Qualifications in Mining Engineering. Underground engineering experience, with exposure to all production phases, preferably gold. Completion of underground time. WA First Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency or ability to obtain is desirable. Exposure to contract mining environments.
