Research and Drafting Research cases and legal issues to support client cases and prepares the appropriate documentation according to established procedure. Conduct legal research by preparing legal memoranda and necessary pleadings required in all aspects of both state and federal litigation matters as needed. Drafts pleadings and current correspondence, analyze, and review legal documents as needed. Customer Service Provides counsel and legal services to new and existing clients by evaluating their needs, providing education through layman's language and represents clients in a professional and expedient manner. Applies knowledge of legal procedures and previous cases to effectively counsel clients. Develop new clients and interface with existing clients on a continuous basis. Contacts customers, prospect base, and major accounts on a continuous basis. Professional Responsibility Communicates with opposing attorneys through personal contact, telephone, and facsimile to expedite cases to a close. Appears at hearings and trials. Complies with all court, state bar and interoffice rules, regulations and procedures on a continual basis. Delegates tasks as appropriate to support staff. Responsible for meeting requirements for billing as assigned by the partners or their designates.
