Member Service Representative

HealthCare Support is actively seeking a Member Service Representative to fill an opening with a Managed Care Company in Orange, CA. This is an onsite role, required office hours M-F working any 8 hour shift between 8am-7pm PST. 6 months contract

Daily Responsibilities for Member Service Representative:
  • Will be the first line of contact for the health plan's members and providers.
  • The incumbent will assist members and providers with questions and/or complaints related to the Medi-Cal programs for Orange County.
  • The incumbent will provide information regarding eligibility, enrollment, benefits and services to eligible members and providers.

Required Qualifications for Member Service Representative:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of call center experience
  • 6+ months of healthcare experience
  • Good tenure, not jumpy
  • Computer Skills - Word, Outlook, Excel, ability to type 35 WPM

Preferred Qualifications for Member Service Representative:
  • MCO experience
  • 6 months of Medi-Cal or Medicare experience
