Oiles America Corporation, an innovator in self-lubricating bearing technologies, is seeking a
1st shift Buyer/Planner
for our North Carolina facility. The ideal candidate is responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of materials and services to meet customer requirements and company inventory objectives. This role involves direct interaction with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to manage the entire lifecycle of purchasing and raw material planning.

Qualification Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferred in supply chain management, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience required.
3-5 years of experience in a buyer/planner role, preferably within the automotive industry
Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) is preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of supply chain principles and inventory management practices
Familiarity with ISO/TS 16949 standards and lean manufacturing principles is preferred
Essential Functions
Serve as the primary contact for customers, receiving orders via EDI, email, phone, etc
Ensure accurate representation of customer requirements in ERP (SAP) system
Manage and resolve customer issues efficiently, maintaining high satisfaction levels
Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best terms and ensure reliable supply
Issue purchase orders and track deliveries to ensure timely receipt of materials
Coordinate with customs brokers and logistics providers for shipments as required
Set safety stock levels for raw materials and finished goods to mitigate supply risks
Perform material requirements planning (MRP) to align supply with demand
Analyze and optimize inventory levels to support production and customer requirements
Identify and implement strategies to mitigate supply chain risks
Coordinate logistics activities to ensure efficient material flow
Ensure compliance with all relevant customs and import regulations
Physical Requirements
Primarily office-based with substantial computer work
May require occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs
Sitting, standing, and bending requirements
Some travel may be required for supplier visits and negotiations
Substantial volume of customer contact by telephone
