We are currently searching for a Development Assistant for a Preparatory Academy. The position is part-time, onsite in the Northeast Philadelphia Suburbs.

ORGANIZATION TYPE: Preparatory Academy

LOCATION: Onsite (Northeast Philadelphia suburbs)

POSITION TITLE: Development Assistant

SCHEDULE: 21 hours/week

DURATION: Temporary, ~4-8 weeks

HOURLY PAY: $24.00-$25.00/hour

Is This Your Dream Job: This Organization seeks a temporary Development Assistant to mage their Raiser's Edge fundraising database within their Development office to support their fundraising operations. The ideal candidate must possess acute attention to detail and hold the utmost level of confidentiality along with a positive attitude. The organizations does have free onsite parking.

Our Ideal Candidate:
  • 2+ years' nonprofit development experience
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Proficient with Raiser's Edge CRM
  • Experience running queries, gift processing, bulk exports/imports, migrations, etc.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
  • Accuracy with work, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Able to work onsite in Northeast Philadelphia. Free parking onsite.
How You Will Spend Your Day:
  • Maintain accuracy of Raiser's Edge database. Import all relevant constituent data (parents, alumni/students, faculty/staff, trustees, alumni parents), track changes to biographical information (updates from events/visits, wealth screenings, etc.).
  • Conduct queries within Raisers Edge and exporting accurate and correct information.
  • Perform all gift processing. Includes gift entry and biographical updates, necessary follow up with donors, tracking and approving matching gifts, keeping accurate donation files and transmitting funds to the Finance Office for deposit.
  • Manage Development online giving forms.
  • Export and run all mail lists, including the Magazine, annual fund appeals, events, special appeals, campaign mailings, and as requested internally or by alumni/groups.
  • Complete and mail all acknowledgement and thank you letters and pledge reminders.
