As part of our continuous improvement initiatives, we are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to develop and lead assembly process improvement initiatives.

Your primary objectives will include ensuring efficient production processes, implementing lean manufacturing principles, and driving continuous improvement to enhance quality, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement assembly strategies and processes for electro-mechanical products to meet production goals and quality standards.
  • Lead a team of assembly technicians and supervisors, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to ensure a high-performing workforce.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain, to optimize assembly processes, resolve technical issues, and introduce new products seamlessly.
  • Establish and maintain process flow diagrams, value stream maps, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
  • Drive the adoption of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies across the assembly operations, including 5S, Kaizen, and Six Sigma techniques.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production output, quality metrics, and operational efficiency, implementing corrective actions as needed to achieve targets.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, process optimization, and cost reduction initiatives within the assembly process, driving innovation and competitiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols within the assembly environment.
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to optimize material flow, minimize lead times, and maintain inventory levels to support production schedules.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning within the assembly team, promoting a positive work environment conducive to success.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing experience and management, preferably in manual assembly focused in ISO standards.. 
  • Familiarity with IEC standards is a strong plus.
  • Experience in implementing Lean methodologies  or six sigma certification is a plus.
  • Proven track record of implementing lean manufacturing principles and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Technical knowledge of assembly processes, including soldering, surface mount technology (SMT)
  • Proficiency in process flow mapping, value stream analysis, and root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Experience with ERP systems, production planning, and inventory management.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functions and influence stakeholders at all levels.
