Description Position at Old Republic Risk Management Old Republic Risk Management (ORRM) is currently seeking an AVP Policy Production to join its Underwriting Services Team at our home office located in Brookfield, WI. In general, the AVP Policy Production manages, oversees and establishes the strategic direction of the various components of the Underwriting Services department to ensure that Company objectives and customer expectations are met. This position is accountable for ensuring procedural changes are implemented to improve the organization's productivity and product quality. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage and hold accountability for the workflow production of policy issuance, production, forms and compliance for all ORRM accounts in the Policy Production services area. Resolve operational matters related to customer and product services.Establish departmental metrics/goals for production/quality that are in alignment with overall ORRM objectives for growth. Ensure that metrics/goals are effectively communicated to Policy Production department staff and accountability is in place for achieving/exceeding targeted results.Provide periodic reports to management that reflect department production/quality measurements along with observations on results, as well as any recommendations for workflow changes.Assess the appropriateness of department staffing levels to ensure workflow/production goals are met and in alignment with overall company growth plan.Coach direct reports to ensure they have feedback, direction and support to achieve goals. In addition, continuously assess that appropriate training, recruiting and retention practices are in place to keep pace with the evolving workforce environment.Collaborate with other internal stakeholders to ensure there are optimal workflow efficiencies between Policy Production and other departments.Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS:This position requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years related experience, or an equivalent combination for education and experience. This position requires a minimum of 5 years in a people leadership role and have demonstrable experience with managing large projects.Working as an AVP Policy Production requires one to work independently and effectively within a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft (MS) Windows and Office products is necessary. Other skills necessary include excellent oral and written communication skills, strong organizational and accurate proofreading skills, the ability to maintain accurate records, the ability to exercise discretion with confidential information, strong attention to detail, and the ability to use a variety of office equipment.PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:This position requires one to sit for extended periods of time and stand and/or walk occasionally. The position requires one to occasionally push, pull, carry, and/or lift up to 10 pounds. No personal protective equipment is required.
