Join the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Field Sustainment Team as a C-5 Lead Field Service Engineer. This position is located at the Warner Robins ALC at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia As the Lead FSE the selected candidate will serve as the System Program Office (SPO) Program Depot Maintenance (PDM) Engineering Liaison, assisting the customer on all matter pertaining to C-5 aircraft and PDM functional testing operations. This role requires knowledge of industry standards and practices with an expert understanding of preventative and demand techniques. Additionally, this position requires substantial C-5 aircraft experience with regard to all aircraft systems.
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Serve as the primary FSE point-of-contact for all PDM aircraft technicians.
* Advise/assist the customer on all matters pertaining to daily PDM activities such as troubleshooting, inspection, logistics, and system operation of the C-5 aircraft.
* Provides recommendations to SPO engineering for Generated Technical -107 Engineering Requests.
* Provide technical order (TO) interpretations and technical guidance based on system knowledge.
* Supports tasks allocated to Lockheed Martin, such as monthly technology interchange meeting (TIM), integrated logistics support working group (ILSWG), product improvement working group (PIWG), and enterprise engineering telecoms.
* Attend PDM planning and turnover meetings, flight debriefs and provide after hours or on-call assistance.
* Maintain and be responsive to SPO Engineering Leadership and cogent engineer of activities.
* Follow FSE guidelines to avoid deviating from approved USAF technical order procedures. Where necessary, seek alternative procedures from the Engineering approval authority processes (Form 202, SPO Engineering approval).
* Direct and/or coordinate efforts for other FSEs supporting C-5 PDM.
* Submit monthly status reports and contribute to AMMM/LMLS, Sustaining Engineering and Technical Support Services (SETSS), TIMs and other program meetings.
* Support all Lockheed Martin Engineering Team visits at Warner Robins, Georgia.
Must be a United States citizen.
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Must possess at minimum an Interim Secret Security Clearance and be able to obtain a Final Secret Security Clearance.

Basic Qualifications:
The following Basic Qualifications are skills that a candidate must possess to be considered for this position:
10 years of general aircraft maintenance experience - total years must include 8 years of C-5 aircraft maintenance experience.
3 years of serving as a Team or Project Lead.
Functional knowledge of MS Office Suite software.
Desired Skills:
The following Desired Skills are not required but are those skills that would set a candidate apart from the other candidates:
Knowledge of modernized Aircraft Maintenance Program (AMP), Reliability Enhancement & Re-engineering Program (RERP) and later configurations preferred.
In-depth knowledge of the Standard Processing of Engineering Technical Assistance Request (ETAR) Form 107/202 application and support.
Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills
4 years experience as a Field Service Engineer.
Experience at an operational C-5 customer site.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
