POSITION SUMMARY

A key member of Madison Kipp Corporations (MKC) Information Technology department, this position is responsible for the day-to-day management of our computer systems, user base, security, and network operations. Experience in a Microsoft environment including MS365, SharePoint, and Active Directory is essential. Cisco/Meraki are experience is a plus. A proactive approach to systems management which encompasses servers, desktop systems, infrastructure components, communications hardware/software, and office systems with a focus on leveraging technology to streamline operations and adhere to Lean protocols is critical.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Utilize the established help desk system to track and document user requests and issues.

Investigate user problems, determine viable solutions, test, and implement solutions.

Systems administration - including file/system backups, security management, user account management, office systems and applications support.
Monitor networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational issues.
Investigate, recommend, and install enhancements that optimize network availability.
Evaluate and recommend the purchase of computers, network hardware, peripheral equipment, and software.
Install, configure, and maintain end user computers, printers, and related equipment.
Perform and/or oversee software installation and upgrades.
Maintain confidentiality regarding information stored and accessed on the network.
Write and maintain department procedures and documentation.
Other duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Primarily an office setting. Periodic visits to shop floor working environment with high levels of noise, heat, and fumes. Periodic overtime during the week and weekends may be expected.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Regularly sit for prolonged periods of time as well as walk, occasionally bend, twist, and move about the facility.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Systems Administration, Network Administration, or equivalent experience. Microsoft and Cisco certifications desired.
Experience:
One or more years experience in a Microsoft environment with strong technical skills:
Windows 10 and server operation systems.
Working with a VMWare virtualized server platform is required.
Active Directory, Microsoft365, and SharePoint.
PowerShell or scripting knowledge is helpful.
Preferred Experience:
Experience with the following systems or programs.
HPe SimpliVity
VOIP Services
Single Sign On (SSO)
Cyber-security best practices
Network Monitoring
Power BI
PowerShell
Skills:
Windows OS deployments and troubleshooting.
Windows servers (both in the Azure cloud and on-premises).
Support networked computers, printers, scanners, and desktop products.

Manage third-party resources.

Knowledge of current communications devices and protocols.
Manage projects to completion.
Excellent problem-solving processes.
Communicate effectively at all levels of the organization (verbal and written).
