The Project Manager works closely with Design Engineering, Product Management, Quality, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing Engineering to manage product and process improvement projects. You will lead cross-functional teams to improve product design, qualify design changes through prototyping and testing, work with suppliers to optimize design and prepare material supply, and develop manufacturing equipment and procedures to build Turbocor products and ensure maximum quality and reliability. Your main objective will be project execution as measured against time, cost, and quality KPI's. Danfoss Turbocor (DTC) is the pioneer and market leader for oil-free centrifugal compressors and is transforming the commercial HVAC chiller market with the highest efficiency through innovative technology. Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
•Project planning, including definition of requirements, scope, and deliverables, schedule building, budget planning, and resource planning.
•Project execution, including management of schedules, budgets, deliverables, and risks.
•Present project status and deliverables to project stakeholders for milestone gate approval.
•Publish Project Status Reports and Project Schedules to deliver transparency of project progress, roadblocks, risk, and other Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).
•Facilitate Project Control Meetings with project stakeholders and management to garner support and circumvent roadblocks.
•Partner with functional managers to lead project teams, drive decision-making, and facilitate continuous improvement of other, parallel business processes.
Background & Skills
•Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
•3-5 years of full-time experience in engineering product development
•Project management experience, balancing time across multiple, cross-functional projects
•Excellent organizational skills
•Open-minded and out-of-the box thinker
•Self-motivated to solve problems and develop plans to achieve goals
•Experience analyzing engineering design changes and working with complex Bills of Material
•Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis. Minitab experience is a plus.
•Demonstrated ability to work independently
•Demonstrated ability to operate in a cross-functional, matrix environment
•Excellent written and verbal presentation skills, ability to filter and distill meaningful information for the right audience
•Extraordinary teammate with a positive demeanor who builds relationships quickly
•Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred
