We are tooScope of ResponsibilityJoin us at Cascade Engineering as a Tool and Die Mold Repair Technician. This is providing manufacturing support with primary responsibilities focused upon proper maintenance of injection molds and tooling including preventive and corrective maintenance activities.Location: North Plant (5145 36th St. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49512)Shift: 3rd Shift (11pm - 7:10a Sunday - Thursday, and occasional overtime on Saturdays/Sundays)Target Pay: $23.54 - $35.64/hour (plus shift premium and quarterly bonus incentive)ResponsibilitiesDay to Day - Review scheduling board and production schedule priorities as determined by scheduling. Performs mold repairs while determining root cause and prevention. Perform preventative maintenance procedures Maintenance - Troubleshoots molds and auxiliary equipment in molding plastic partsRepairs electric, hydraulic and pneumatic mold malfunctionsObserves and corrects irregular mold conditionsComputer system upkeepInstalls and upgrades mold componentsRoot Cause - Participate in development and use of TPM systemTrain Technicians and Tooling Personnel to perform basic mold maintenance operationsCompletion of projects as assignedMaintain machine and work area cleanlinessComply with all safety policies, regulations and lawsCommunicate tool status with each plantProjects - Actively participate in CE cost-savings activities. Connects wiring and hydraulic lines to install electrical and hydraulic component. Define "root cause" of problematic areas of our process and help implement a permanent solution.
