Position Summary

Kee Safety is a global provider of the highest level of safety solutions and products for every industry. The role of Logistics Specialist will oversee the movement of goods and materials, ensuring that items are delivered on time, in the correct quantities, and to the right place. In short, they are the middle person between consumer and company who make sure that all orders are successfully and accurately completed. This role will also include administrative related tasks to support the operations department.

Job Duties
  • Coordinate with transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as; project management, procurement, sales, and the warehouse to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfillment.
  • Manage coordinate inbound/outbound expedited shipments between project management, purchasing, sales, and the warehouse.
  • Support the Purchasing department when necessary
  • Reviewing purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy
  • Making special shipping arrangements as necessary
  • Tracking and fixing shipping errors
  • Preparing bills and invoices
  • Ensuring that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards
  • Developing processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized
  • Monitor current order bank and process related paperwork for use in the warehouse
  • Work with 3rd party shipping companies to obtain quotes and schedule pickups and deliveries
  • Process paperwork for shipping and receiving
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to orders, inventory and equipment
  • Work with appropriate parties (internal and external) to resolve inquiries related to orders
  • Generate PO's for goods and services for the warehouse
  • Work with Operations for placing of PO's and maintaining schedule of incoming PO's
  • Perform other tasks as requested by the Operations Manager
Requirements

Competencies
  • Experience with all modes of transportation (marine, rail, and trucking)
  • Proven supplier experience
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in inventory management and data entry
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with team members and other departments
  • Capable of developing and maintaining effective working relationships with team members and other departments within the organization
  • Ability to prioritize work to meet time-sensitive deadlines
  • Understanding of, and the ability to work within, various organizational reporting structures
  • Solid understanding of transportation and warehousing processes
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle stressful situations with composure
Education, Experience and Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a logistics environment preferred
  • Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics setting, preferred
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and software, preferred
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and other departments
  • Strong commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy in logistics, purchasing, and warehouse operations

Salary Description

$20-23/hr
