PFEP or Plan for Every Part is a strategic approach to inventory management key to reducing inventory stress and strain and keeping equipment running full steam ahead. As a PFEP Analyst, you will be analyzing inventory, tracking trends lines, and helping maintain inventory levels at our Distribution Centers (DC) for optimal efficiency in both timing and space. This pivotal role will also help in other inventory controls to include cycle counting, Physical Inventory, and work order execution to help keep inventory accurate and moving.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Continually improve the present state PFEP database by assisting in updating current item setups specifically for our Distribution Centers in Cleveland, TN and Emporia, KS
  • Assist in item setups for new items added to the DCs.
  • Assist with inventory reductions based on demand and usage for the DCs
  • Provide future volume forecasts for DCs based on historical info and current demand levels.
  • Continually update safety stock levels with input from Buyer/Planners and Sales.
  • Assist in maintaining stock levels in the DC to support Sales and manufacturing needs.
  • Setup/Maintain process for intercompany transfers to help support other business units.
  • Regular travel to Emporia KS and Kimball TN will be required, with occasional travel to suppliers as deemed necessary by Inventory Supervisor or Material Manager.
  • Assist Inventory Supervisor with Inventory Control Projects.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of Physical Inventories for the DCs
Required Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Able to communicate at various levels within the organization
  • Ability to effectively work in a team. Knowing role on team, based on project/task with a wide degree of creativity and latitude
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully achieve goals through influence
  • Ability to adapt to system/technology changes as well as use of current systems
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Analytically minded with an ability to blend multiple sources of data to formulate opinions and recommendations and highlight data trends for the business
  • Exposure to global thought process and diversity within a supply chain
  • Possess ability to follow and challenge Standard Work processes daily
  • Ability to identify roadblocks in material/information flow and manage exceptions
  • Demonstrated Risk Awareness and Mitigation
Required Education/Experience:
  • BS/BA degree in Supply Chain, business, or technical field - OR - 5 years relevant functional experience, with heavy emphasis on datamining.
  • Demonstrated Advanced Excel skills (vlookup, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Proven understanding of production processes and MRP systems essential
Preferred:
  • JDE E1 or similar ERP experience
  • APICS CPIM certification a plus
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to remain in stationary position or standing position for prolonged periods and alternate between
  • Ability to repeat gross or fine manipulation that may include the use of wrists, hands, and/or fingers
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including, but not limited to, safety glasses, steel-toed or metatarsal-guarded shoes, and/or ear plugs, while working in an industrial and/or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to constantly communicate with others to exchange information in person, via phone, or via use of computer.
  • Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 25 pounds in weight in all directions
  • Ability to occasionally reach overhead or at or below shoulder level
  • Ability to occasionally stoop, crouch, or kneel
