You can look forward to gaining real-world public accounting experience while assisting with preparation of federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses. There may also be opportunities to pursue financial statement preparation, auditing, general accounting and write-up work, or special projects. This is a paid position, where you'll get to work with staff and leaders from all levels. Additionally, all interns are considered for future employment opportunities upon successful completion of their internship.
A Spring Intern can expect to:

Build long-lasting relationships with your intern peers, as well as other relationships that will help position you for the next stage of your career.
What you'll need for this position:
Education: Applicants must be enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Accounting (or related field) and pursuing CPA exam eligibility.
GPA: Must be 3.0 or higher in major and overall. (Exceptions considered if a letter of recommendation from an accounting professor is submitted.)
Hours: Availability to work 40 hours minimum per week for full time or 24 hours minimum per week for part time
Location: Availability to relocate to the internship location
Employment Eligibility: Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis upon hire. (Pinion will not provide sponsorship for this position, and therefore cannot consider candidates requiring sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future. e.g., H-1B status).

Compensation: In some states and municipalities, Pinion is required by law to include a reasonable estimate for range of compensation. When making compensation decisions, Pinion takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, certifications/licenses, and geographic location. The wide range for this role reasonably accounts for these factors. Specific compensation decisions are made based on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $25 to $27 per hour. (In the event that an employee is paid on an hourly basis, salary estimates are based on estimated annual hours and earning potential, in accordance with state wage and hour regulations.)

For intern applicants, we will need the date you anticipate being available to work full-time in order to be considered for a future full-time conversion offer.
