Contract Specialist

As a contract specialist in the Tactical Solutions (TS) contracts department, reporting to a Senior Manager, you will assume a hands-on Contract Specialist role as an individual contributor. What You'll Do Provide contract negotiation and administration on a variety of programs encompassing all phases of the contract life cycle (pre-proposal through contract close out). Collaborate with other employees in the department, cross-functionally and with program personnel, and for establishing effective relationships with key customers. Assist the Senior Manager in reviewing contracts and related documents to assess risk to the company and recommend mitigation approaches and ensure compliance with various federal regulations and company policy. BS/BA in a related field plus 10 or more years related experience. Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education. Government and Commercial (domestic and international desirable) contracts experience. A strong working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS), with a particular emphasis on intellectual property, government property, formation of proposals, and negotiations. Experienced with cost reimbursable, award fee and incentive fee contracts. Experience with Firm Fixed Price contracts.
