Position Summary
The Room Attendant is essential in ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of guest rooms at The Seagate Hotel. This role is dedicated to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain your daily room assignment and keys from the Executive Housekeeper. Sign for your keys.
  • Stock your cart with required supplies and begin cleaning rooms, starting with check-outs. Clean all assigned rooms according to established procedures.
  • At the end of your shift, return your cart to the linen room, restock linen, and ensure the linen room is organized. Report any issues with supplies or equipment to your supervisor.
  • Return your keys and Room Assignment Sheet to the Housekeeping Office. Sign your keys in and check your schedule for the next day.
  • Empty trash cans into your trash bag and remove all soiled linens from beds and bathrooms, placing them in the soiled linen bag.
  • Empty all ashtrays into designated containers.
  • Remove stained bed pads, blankets, and spreads; obtain replacements as needed.
  • Report any carpet stains or other maintenance issues to the Executive Housekeeper and check all light bulbs to ensure they are working.
  • Clean out drawers in all vacant or dirty rooms; do not open drawers in occupied rooms.
  • Fluency in the primary language with clear, concise, and courteous communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and address guest requests creatively and accurately.
  • Maintain a friendly, patient, and outgoing demeanor even during peak times or long shifts.
  • Capable of handling multiple requests simultaneously while remaining composed and efficient.
  • Understand and adhere to The Seagate Hotel's policies and procedures.
  • Exercise good judgment and decision-making skills in all situations.
  • Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 30 pounds, and maneuvering carts up to 100 pounds.
Qualifications
  • Fluent in the primary language, with clear, concise, and courteous communication skills in English.
  • Ability to understand and efficiently address requests with creativity and accuracy.
  • Maintain a friendly, patient, and outgoing demeanor, even during long hours.
  • Capable of handling multiple requests simultaneously with poise and efficiency.
  • Understand and adhere to the policies of The Seagate Hotel.
  • Exercise good judgment at all times.
  • Willingness to work long hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays as required.
  • Be able to use electronic devices such as an Iphone or Ipad.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 30 pounds, and pushing carts up to 100 pounds.
