St. Francis Health Services is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive team

This is a full-time position that may be on-site in Morris, MN, or hybrid (must reside in Minnesota). Job Summary:

The primary purpose of this position is to develop, monitor and evaluate overall St. Francis Health Services of Morris, Inc. and affiliates finances providing financial insights to help leadership make better decisions about formulating and executing strategy. Responsibilities include:
  • Establish/maintain internal control processes required toaccurately reflect St. Francis Health Services' and affiliates' income, operating costs, and financial condition and manage the business
  • Provide useful financial insights to help make better decisions about formulating and executing businessstrategy
  • Ensure submission of DHS and Medicare CostReports for Nursing Homes and Group Homes of St. Francis Health Services, analyzing cost reports and preparing estimated rate notices
  • Ensure annual budgets are prepared for all entities and monitor the same monthly advising on adjustments due to changes in tax or other laws
  • Manage fiscal year-end audit of all facilities and provide analysis of financial statements to the Board of Directors
  • Proactively manage cash flows in a leveraged environment and prepare accurate and timely projections
  • Manage financial capital; communicate capital requirements/implications of businessdecisions to CEO and Board of Directors
  • Conduct analysis to improve key business decisions focusing on management of working capital
  • Grow equity value -increasing gross profit and reducing debt
  • Ensure controls are in place to manageinvestments, make recommendations for investment or placement of capital as appropriate and forecast any expected economic changes
  • Assist the Chief Executive Officer in financial negotiations with outside entities such as lenders, purchasers,suppliers, etc
Job Requirements:
  • Minimum bachelor's degree in accounting or in Business Administration with a major in accounting from an accredited college or university; master's degree preferred
  • Five years supervisory experience in a health care related field; executive leadership experience preferred
  • Must possess accounting experience including budgeting, revenue enhancement, expense control and cash management
  • Must possess employee supervision skills
