The Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst will work in concert with the Director of Finance to maintain the forecasting process for the company and the monthly reporting suite aimed at providing actionable plans for all regions and business units. The forecast plans for the regions and business units must align with CRB’s strategic plan. This position will be based in Kansas City office. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the company forecasting process including working with the department leads and business unit leaders to develop & document business plans. Prepare month-end presentations targeted at regional and business unit management including variance analysis on financial data and KPIs as well as identifying areas of improvement. Lead implementation of new cloud-based planning tool for all budgets, forecasts, and reporting needs of the finance organization. Analyze financial data and develop financial models and cost projections for the organization. Support evaluation of internal projects and new business opportunities based on cash flow modeling and net present value evaluations. How you will contribute to our success: This is a vital role in our organization; operating within a small FP&A team, this role will have visibility across our entire footprint to senior executives. Alongside our implementation of a new global ERP, our business is embracing new technology and expectations around financial modeling/analysis to inform both new business pursuits as well as to provide guidance on existing project work. This role will also have full P&L management. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or experience in a similar role. 5+ years of demonstrable experience in similar finance/FP&A roles. Expert user of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint. Experience with Power Query (or Power BI), VBA, and SQL preferred. Professional designation (MBA or CPA) complete or in process would be an asset. Strong understanding of accounting rules and concepts required. Experience in Architecture-Engineering-Construction industries preferred. Excellent business communication skills. Additional Qualifications: Strong attention to detail; working in a conscientious, consistent, and thorough manner. Solid analytical skills, strategic thinking, and decision-making ability. Ability to effectively operate with high energy and flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment. Demonstrated ability to work independently to solve complex problems while working cross-functionally. Ability to collaborate across departments and influence external stakeholders.
