**Description**

**Job Summary:**

Responsible for ensuring the orderliness, cleanliness, and sanitation of the Health Care Households, with a special emphasis on resident rooms. Performs basic housekeeping duties such as mopping, dusting, polishing, disposal of trash, vacuuming, and disinfecting. Performs other appropriate related assigned duties.

Maintains attitudes and behaviors that demonstrate and uphold the Mission and Vision Statements of Oklahoma Methodist Manor (OMM), supports the OMM core values, and shows an understanding of OMMs person-centered philosophy.

**Job Requirements:**

- High school diploma or GED preferred.

- Minimum one-year experience as a Housekeeper preferred although on-the-job training may be provided.

- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.

**Responsibilities:**

- Follows cleaning schedule (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) as outlined.

- Cleans residents rooms according to established housekeeping procedures.

- Keeps utility and storage rooms in clean and orderly condition.

- Disinfects and sterilizes equipment and supplies.

- Coordinates with the Housekeeping Department to stock housekeeping closets with supplies.

- Reports potentially unsafe conditions or maintenance-related issues promptly to the supervisor.

Maintains professional presence when representing Oklahoma Methodist Manor; exhibits a degree of professionalism consistent with standards in performance, behavior, and appearance.

- Maintains confidentiality and privacy at all times according to policies and procedures; uses discretion when discussing confidential matters.
