Position Title: Project Manager - PMO
Reports to: VP, Global PMO
Location: Carrollton, TX (100% onsite)
Duration: Full Time
As a PMO Project Manager , you will be an integral part of our PMO team, assisting in the planning, execution, and monitoring of strategic projects. Project types could include Research & Development, Manufacturing, Customer Integrations, Mergers/Acquisitions, Cost Reductions. You will work closely with the VP of Global PMO to monitor and contribute to the successful delivery of projects within the organization. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead and contribute to the success of our PMO initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation, in collaboration with project stakeholders.
Resource Management: Efficiently manage project resources, including personnel, budget, and technology assets, to maximize project productivity.
Risk Management: Assist in identifying potential project risks and contribute to the development of risk mitigation strategies. Monitor and track project risks.
Timeline Adherence: Oversee project schedules, track progress, and implement strategies to mitigate delays, ensuring projects are completed on time.
Change Management: Participate in change management efforts associated with projects to facilitate successful adoption of project outcomes.
Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure that deliverables meet or exceed quality standards.
Budget Management: Monitor project financials, track expenses, and ensure projects are completed within budget constraints.
Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, status reports, change requests, and other project-related materials.
Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with project stakeholders to gather information, provide updates, and ensure clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Reporting: Provide regular project status updates and reports to stakeholders, management, and clients.
Governance & Process: Assist in establishing PM tools to be utilized globally & train project managers on methodology and tools. Ensure projects adhere to organizational standards, policies, and governance frameworks. Implement best practices in project management.
Performance Tracking: Assist in establishing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and project metrics to measure project success.
Qualifications, Experience, Skills, Competencies
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or Business.
3+ years proven experience as a Project Manager or similar role.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic project management environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Proficient in project management software (SmartSheet experience a plus) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to analyze and solve problems.
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
Travel, ranging from 10% to 15%, might be necessary, including the possibility of international trips
