WAGE INFORMATION: Base Pay $23.31/Hour
SHIFT PREMIUM: $.25 per hour All Year
FLEX PAY $.35 per hour All Year

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for performing custodial functions at assigned location(s).

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
  1. Perform regular custodial duties such as mopping, sweeping, dumping trash, cleaning glass, vacuuming, and changing light bulbs
  2. Report maintenance and other needs to the Foreman/Lead Engineer in building
  3. Lock and un-lock doors in building according to scheduled activities
  4. Set-up and clean-up for special events
  5. Shovel snow and operate snow removal equipment
  6. Perform exterior cleaning duties such as sweeping sidewalks and picking up trash
  7. Move furniture and equipment as needed
  8. Act as substitute truck driver if needed
  9. Perform grounds duties if needed
  10. Respond to the needs of building occupants and users
  11. Rotate evening and day shift as needed
  12. Provide excellent customer service to building staff, students and other users
  13. Other duties as assigned


JOB SPECIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, LICENSE, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):

Required:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Able to operate equipment associated with custodial operations
  3. Valid driver's license; restrictions preventing the operation of district equipment are not allowed.
  4. Able to follow oral and written directions
  5. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
  6. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
  7. Prompt, regular and reliable attendance
  8. Ability to perform routine computer functions, including the use of email, Internet navigation and Microsoft Word
  9. Communicates with students, parents, co-workers, supervisors, and the community in a positive and responsive way that is consistently welcoming and enhances effective work relationships.
  10. Demonstrates an appreciation of diversity in all interactions and job functions.
