We invite you to join us as we strive to be The Most Trusted Partner for Health.Our colorectal surgery service volume has grown significantly over the last quarter. This provider will see patients in the clinic for follow ups, postoperative patients and help with hospital rounding. Our team of highly skilled and board-certified surgeons specialize in diagnosing and treating diseases of the colon and rectum. Our Colorectal team treat a wide breadth of patients including complex colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, diverticular disease and patients with intestinal obstruction and perforation in the acute setting. We also treat benign pathology including hemorrhoids, anal fissures, fistulas, and fecal incontinence.The Nurse Practitioner provides medical consultation, routine patient care, and follow-up as directed. This position requires population specific competencies. Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires. INTEGRIS Health is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.ResponsibilitiesThe Nurse Practitioner responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Initiates and completes a detailed patient assessmentInitiates the order of laboratory tests, radiological examinations and other routine diagnostic proceduresDiagnoses the actual or potential health problem or need, based upon an analysis of the data collected, and plans therapeutic interventionOrders and initiates appropriate medication, treatment, and consultation based upon an analysis of the data collectedOrders or performs routine procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing (not involving tendons, arteries or nerves) wound care, venous and arterial blood draws, and managing simple conditions produced by infection, trauma or other disease processesEducates the patient regarding prescribed treatment and medication(s)The Nurse Practitioner reports to the supervising physician and Operations Manager Practice ManagementThis position may have additional or varied physical demand and/or respiratory fit test requirements.
