Location: Bethlehem, PA area

Reports To: Vice President of Global Quality

About the Opportunity:

Join a leading global manufacturer, renowned for our innovative products and services used in diverse business lines including oil and gas, chemical, mining, power generation, and commercial building sectors. The Director of Quality is pivotal in overseeing the Quality organization and the Quality Management System (QMS). Your role entails developing, maintaining, and continually enhancing an efficient QMS, ensuring product and service quality and reliability that meets or exceeds customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance the global Quality Management System, ensuring ISO 9001-2015 certification.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Product Development teams to ensure the reliability and quality of new products, incorporating Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
  • Conduct product performance analyses, reliability studies, FMEAs, Process Capability studies, and develop control plans.
  • Work closely with global Supply Chain and Operations to improve supplier and manufacturing quality processes.
  • Establish and manage cost and quality metrics, standardizing quality reporting metrics globally.
  • Oversee the customer complaint and response system, ensuring effective corrective actions.
  • Lead multiple locations quality initiatives and lead teams to align on key objectives.
  • Drive staffing and development to enhance the global quality assurance organization's expertise.
  • Introduce new technologies in quality assurance and control processes.
  • Participate in external organizations to advance quality assurance and organizational objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or related science field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years experience in Quality Assurance and ISO 9000, with a strong background in manufacturing management and continuous improvement. Senior management experience highly desired.
  • Proficiency in lean tools and methodologies, statistical techniques, and Six Sigma certifications are a plus.
  • Skilled in problem solving, team facilitation, and root cause analysis.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work across all levels of the organization.
  • At least 10 years of Management/Supervisory experience required.
  • Willing to travel 50% of the time to various plants and corporate locations.
