Position SummaryThe Massage Therapist provides various massage therapy services and treatments that compliments fitness programs, improves overall sense of well-being, and enhances the guest's fitness experience while living the mission, vision and core values of LifeSpa and Salon. They work to build relationships with other departments in the club and educate on benefits of massage therapy. They are responsible to designing sessions around guests specific needs and suggest massage schedules for recurring sessions. They work with the entire LifeSpa and Salon team to provide a superior experience in a professional atmosphere.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesGreets and services members in a friendly and professional manner Provides individualized massage therapy services and treatments that meet the clients' needs and expectationsInitiates, develops and maintains personalized relationships with clientsEducates clients on LifeSpa and Salon products, services and treatmentsMaintains LifeSpa and Salon appearance and cleanlinessServes as an expert in muscle and body analysis and maintenance regimensPromotes and sells massage therapy services and treatments and encourages repeat business Remains current on certifications and new trends in the industryPosition RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GEDMassage Therapy LicenseAbility to perform all types of massage therapy services and treatmentsAbility to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, and proportionsKnowledge of basic PC operatingAbility to stand, walk, reach and lift and move up to 50 pounds Preferred Requirements2 years of massage experience in a professional environmentKnowledge of body treatmentsExperience with Salon BizPayThis position receives a minimum hourly rate between the applicable minimum wage and $15 (or applicable minimum wage if greater) in addition to performance pay between 15% to 55% depending on team member productivity.BenefitsAll team members receive the following benefits while working for Life Time:A fully subsidized membershipDiscounts on Life Time products and services401(k) retirement savings plan with company match (21 years of age and older)Training and professional developmentPaid sick leave where required by lawFull-time Team Members are eligible for additional benefits, including:Medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage Short term and long term disability insuranceLife insurancePre-tax flexible spending and dependent care plansParental leave and adoption assistancePaid time off, including 5 to 20 vacation days per calendar year (based on tenure) and paid sick leaveDeferred compensation plan, if the team member meets the required income thresholdLife Time is a place for everyone.
