**Description:**

- Grinding pieces to print

- Requires bringing the parts into the necessary dimensions. (Width, Height, and Thickness) and generally the material is some sort of tool steel.

- Remove metal by the application of abrasives which are bonded to form a rotating wheel.

- Rough and finish flat, cylindrical, and conical surfaces.

- Read and interpret charts, drawings, and blueprints.

- Determine product specifications such as dimensions, tolerances, and number of parts to be ground.

- Determine grinding speeds, feed rates, holding fixtures, and grinding wheels to be used.

- Mount grinding wheel.

- Dress wheel according to specifications.

- Use dressing devices.

- Position work rest to specified height.

- Confirm ground work piece has the correct specifications.

- Utilize micrometers, calipers, dial bore gages, and preset gauges.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications:**

MUST HAVES:

-3+ years' centerless grinding experience

-Understand grinding principles

-Experienced in setup and operating A Cincinnati Centerless Grinder.

-Must have experience in holding very tight tolerances of .0002 to .0005 of an inch.

-Must own their own tools, a .000 to 1.000 and 1.000 to 2.000 set of Micrometers.

-Basic hand tools

PLUS:

-Experience in operating a CNC Machine

-using a Surface Grinding Machine
