Warehouse Associate Job Description Business Unit Description:

Michael Foods, Inc. is a leading food processing and distribution company in the industry.

Location Description:

Our warehouse in Gaylord, Minnesota, is a central hub for our operations.

Responsibilities:

Unload trucks and store incoming materials.

Supply the Aseptic department with packaging materials.

Assist with cycle counts and monthly inventory verification.

Help with UPS and FedEx outgoing packages and deliver incoming packages.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Supply the Aseptic department with packaging materials.

Assist with UPS and FedEx outgoing and incoming packages daily.

Help with monthly inventory and assist with accounting questions.

Inform accounting and purchasing of any damages or credit material.

Perform receiving responsibilities.

Inspect all inbound products.

Verify counts of all inbound products.

Use trailer locks at all times.

Inspect pallets and document quality on Inspection Report.

Ticket and verify counts and quality of all inbound products.

General warehouse duties, including maintaining a clean and orderly environment.

Help with inventory rotation to ensure the oldest product is used first.

Practice all safety procedures.

Operate a forklift in a safe and efficient manner.

Maintain daily log sheets as required.

Maintain regular and consistent attendance.

Follow safe work practices, GMPs, and maintain sanitary conditions to ensure product quality.

Report any conditions or practices that may affect food safety, quality, or personnel safety.

Responsible for Food Safety and Food Quality of MFI products.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

One to three months of related experience in a warehouse setting or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Successful completion of Powered Industrial Truck training and forklift certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to read and recognize words and numbers in English.

Ability to add and subtract numbers and perform basic calculations.

Ability to apply common sense and deal with problems in standardized situations.

Computer knowledge or ability to learn Excel, Outlook, and SAP.

Ability to communicate effectively on the phone or in groups.
