Responsibilities:Technica Corporation is seeking to fill a CyberSecurity Research Engineer (Data Scientist) position with our IR&D Team, here at HQ in Dulles, VA. This is an ideal opportunity for big thinkers, researchers, coders and data scientists who are interested in working in a small, innovative team. The selected candidate will be working within a team operating in an agile environment, where the focus is on teamwork and project ownership.
- Support a team of Developers and Data Scientists working on a variety of research and development projects as well as customer projects
- Research and analyze cutting edge algorithms and technologies with a focus on cyber security
- Effectively communicate results of research and analysis with teammates and senior management in the form of essays, whitepapers, and PowerPoint presentations
- Design, Develop and Deploy:
- Automated analytic software, techniques, and algorithms
- Bachelors in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related technical field with 2+ years of relevant expeirence.
- Experience with web frameworks (React, Flask, NodeJS)
- Experience with Python
- Able to obtain clearance
- Experience using Linux as a development operating system
- Other duties as assigned
- Demonstrable classroom or corporate experience with:
- Network Security
- Computer Network Security
- Digital Forensics,
- Malware Analysis
- Threat Intelligence/Threat Hunting
- Ethical Hacking
- Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing
- Incident response
- IPS/IDS systems (E.G. snort, Bro, Suricata)
- Experience with Docker and Singularity container platforms
- Experience with Machine Learning toolkits such as Tensorflow, Pytorch
- Experience with data visualization
