Advanced Industrial Engineer

will be a key part of the new business process, develop, manage and execute program capital, identify new ideas through innovation, and assist in current manufacturing opportunities by acting as the SME. They will create, develop, and implement efficient manufacturing systems, reduce costs while maintaining standards of operations. A successful candidate will be high energy, well organized and process driven with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously. Primary Accountabilities and Responsibilities: Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers, operations, and other support functions to optimize assembly manufacturing processes and layouts. Collaborate with Advanced Manufacturing Engineers and analyze process flows to determine headcount required for upcoming programs. Conduct capacity studies for program volume changes to determine headcount, machinery and space and suggest plan to implement the change. Rebalance assembly lines using AVIX. Identifies and assesses various problems and departures from established assembly standards and best practices; researches and recommends solutions. Designs, redesigns, or enhances work areas and layouts so that awkward or uncomfortable positions, repetitive motions, and inefficient operations are reduced or eliminated. Recommend cost-saving measures. Apply lean manufacturing principles and methods to develop efficient material handling processes for the movement of material throughout manufacturing facilities. Plan for efficient material movement processes and patterns within the plant, which may include movement of material by fork truck, tugger, conveyor, and automatic guided vehicle systems. Material delivery methods may also include sequencing and kitting. Using AutoCAD to create the layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency. Develope MOST analysis studies for new programs Initiate assembly line standard work instructions (SWI) for new programs. Assist in the buyoff and runoff of equipment. Required Skills/Education/Experience: The ideal candidate will have/possess the following skills: Bachelors degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering required. Previous Industrial Engineering experience in Automotive and/or Automotive vehicle assembly fields preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Familiar with AVIX software Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Familiar with simulation software, Promodel preferred Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. 5+ years of experience. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to access and navigate all areas in the facility and access all machinery. Integrity
