Sr Claims Supervisor

TheSenior Claims Supervisor will be responsible for the proper training, cross training and assisting in the hiring of adjusters and administrative staff to ensure that the staffing is at all times satisfactory to the needs of the organization. Discipline, excessive absenteeism and satisfactory work product fall under the purview of the Senior Claims Supervisor.
The Senior Claims Supervisor is tasked with the following responsibilities:
• Confirm adjusting staff adequately establishes reserves through diary (auditing).
• Confirm adjusting staff provides accurate investigative documents and/or evidence to the legal counsel for the defense of the claims, and appear for court as necessary.
• Provide special handling of sensitive claims or serious accidents at the direction of company claims management staff.
• Confirm that reporting and authority is obtained according to the company Claim Manual.
• Maintain 100% closure ratio.
• Perform diary and place notes in file guiding adjusters.
• Ensure diary is current.
• Monitor Medicare compliance.
• Review timesheets for accuracy.
• Monitor CCTV requests for timeliness.
• Review all check requests for thoroughness before submission to the Claims Manager for approval.
• Ensure all SE1 and SE2 files are reported on time, and diary is reset promptly.
Supervise a team of 3 Claims Representatives whose mainResponsibilities and Duties are as follows:
• Manage a caseload of approximately 150+ claim files, some with multiple claimants, pertaining to operations liability.
• Perpetual evaluation of reserves for property damage and/or bodily injury claims with exposures of $25,000 or greater (subject to change).
• Investigating claims, issuing timely reports, completing thorough diary reviews, managing litigation, and demonstrating excellent organizational skills.
