We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Audit & Compliance Associate to assist with essential tasks related to AES audits, file audits, and the management of Power of Attorney (POA), Carnet, and Temporary Import Bond (TIB) documents. This role is part-time and offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in compliance, document management, and auditing in an international trade environment. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in international trade and compliance.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Basic understanding of international trade and compliance (preferred).
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
As an Audit & Compliance Associate, you'll play a key role in helping us maintain compliance with regulations, avoid penalties, and ensure the seamless movement of shipments. You will gain valuable experience working in an internationally focused team, sharpening your skills in auditing and document management, and helping to drive the company's success
- AES Audits: Reviewing monthly Automated Export System (AES) audits and sharing results with management and the team.
- File Audits: Conducting monthly audits of file accuracy and compliance, reporting outcomes, and collaborating with the team for improvements.
- POA Expired Management: Proactively monitoring the validity of Power of Attorney (POA) documents to prevent shipment delays.
- Carnet POA Management: Tracking Carnet POA expiration dates to avoid penalties.
- TIB Expired Management: Ensuring Temporary Import Bonds (TIB) are renewed in a timely manner to prevent potential penalties.
- Hourly pay ranging from $17-$23, depending on experience
- Flexible part-time hours.
- Hands-on experience in auditing and compliance in an international environment.
