Job Description Position Overview: The Fire Alarm/Sprinkler Technician will be responsible for the installation, inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm and/or sprinkler systems. This role requires a hands-on individual with strong technical skills and a comprehensive understanding of fire protection systems. The ideal candidate will have practical experience in the field and a commitment to ensuring the safety and functionality of fire protection systems. Key Responsibilities: Install, inspect, test, and maintain fire alarm and sprinkler systems in commercial buildings. Perform routine and emergency service calls for system troubleshooting and repairs. Conduct regular inspections and testing of fire protection systems to ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes. Document all service activities, including inspections, testing, and repairs. Collaborate with project managers and clients to schedule and perform work efficiently. Maintain accurate records of all work performed and materials used. Provide technical support and training to clients on system operation and maintenance. Respond to emergency service requests promptly and professionally. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in fire protection systems preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a fire alarm/sprinkler technician. Proficient in the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm and sprinkler systems. Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and standards, as well as local building codes. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Valid drivers license and a clean driving record. NICET certification in Fire Alarm Systems and/or Water-Based Systems Layout is a plus. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
