: Procurement Specialist, or Purchasing Specialist, responsible for acquiring and maintaining the company’s various supplies. Main duties include locating key suppliers, negotiating the company’s purchasing agreements, and making sure their materials and products meet the company’s specifications. Issues purchases orders, receives shipments, and maintains inventory levels for components, raw materials, and miscellaneous supplies. Position Type

: Exempt, Full Time: 40+ hours per week Shift: 8:00 am - 5 pm.

Availability for overtime may be required during high demand periods.

Must have a flexible schedule to come in early or stay late on occasion to fulfill plant needs. Procurement Specialist Responsibilities

: Researching and identifying prospective suppliers. Requesting quotes and obtaining pricing & purchase terms and conditions. Preparing and issuing purchase orders and agreements. Receiving both inventory and non-inventory items. Inspecting and evaluating the quality of purchased items and resolving shortcomings. Maintaining accurate inventory and procurement records. Developing and maintaining a system for inventory management to support the Min/Max level system. Complying with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Purchase goods or services that meet the quantity and quality expectations of the organization Evaluate and negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers Track inventory and restock goods when needed Assist finance with invoice follow-ups and discrepancies Communicate with collogues and vendors on order statuses, cancelations, and order adjustments Other duties as assigned Qualifications and Requirements: High school diploma/GED required. 2+ years of experience as a purchasing specialist or inventory control specialist or in a similar role. Good basic knowledge of inventory control strategies. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and with business application software, purchasing, and resource planning systems. Team player with strong organizational skills. SAP experience preferred.
