As the assistant director of admission, you will travel to effectively represent the university to prospective students at school-specific events and information sessions while building ongoing professional and institutional relationships. Your responsibilities will include following-up with prospective students to discuss their interests and answer questions about the admission process and opportunities at the university, increasing the positive awareness of SCAD in the assigned region, and planning travel to strategically identified high schools and universities. In this position you will be expected to deliver creative and engaging classroom presentations to students, individually meet with students to provide enrollment process information, conduct information sessions, and represent the university at college fairs.

The assistant director's job will be to host educators during SCAD's Educator Weekend, utilizing alumni and parent ambassadors to support recruitment. You will be expected to monitor reports to evaluate results for effectiveness, maintain timely communication with prospective students, assist with admitted and paid calls, and announce award winners at ceremonies. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate data in Salesforce, entering events and travel into the master recruitment calendar, providing on-campus support for teams during events and activities, and covering LivePerson shifts. In this position you will train and mentor admission staff, stay updated on university information, and provide feedback to leadership on a regular basis while maintaining your flexibility throughout the recruitment year to allow for institutional and personal growth.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel extensively
Certificates, licenses, and registrations:
  • Valid driver's license

Travel required: Over 50%

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
