Freedom Moving and Storage is seeking a "Hand-On" Sr Warehouse Manager to join our team in Wayne, NJ Our company has been around since 1939 and has been growing consistently over the past 20 years. Our Wayne, NJ location is growing and offers a large potential for growth. Our Sr Warehouse Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the warehouse. They will also fulfill management functions including hiring, training and leading a team of warehouse employees and providing excellent customer service to clients as needed. This individual will also be responsible for developing and managing warehouse inventory, while promoting growth and profitability. 70% of time will be spent in warehouse and 30% office. Liberty/Freedom Moving and Storage is a family owned and operated relocation company that has experienced continual growth since our founding in 1939. We are the largest agent for Mayflower and United Van-Lines in the tristate area. Our standards are high, which makes us one of the largest and highest recommended companies in the business. * Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations * Manage operational costs * Managing safety, compliance, fleet, DOT with the national safety department * Daily planning, scheduling, and dispatching * Manage warehouse inventory * Manage all equipment maintenance * Responsible for all facility maintenance and safety * Working hands on and leading by example * 70% of time will be spent in warehouse and 30% office. Job Requirements: * Highly skilled in communication and delegation * Stellar Warehouse Inventory experience is Mandatory * Successful management of operational costs * Verifiable leadership management of at least 3+ years * Straight Truck DOT Driver experience a big plus * Accountability and previous P&L management experience a plus * Ability to work 40-50 plus hour workweek including Saturdays as much as needed. * Logistics, freight, moving, or transportation experience * Ability to travel for mandatory training (expenses compensated by company) * Ability to perform physical work (lifting, bending, standing, pushing, pulling) * Ability to operate forklifts specially reach truck * Logistics, freight, moving, or transportation experience * Ability to travel for mandatory training (expenses compensated by company)
