Job Type Full-timeDescriptionJOB TITLE: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)/Phlebotomist Full-time PositionSUMMARY OF CNA POSITIONAssists providers, nurses, and other medical staff by performing administrative and clinical duties, such as preparing patient exam rooms, performing, and recording vitals, and blood sample collection from patients for analysis or other medical purposes. May also assist in laboratory processing functions and CLIA-waived testing, allowed within the scope of certification. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF CNAWelcomes patients and visitors in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.Verifies patient information and identification is correct for services ordered.Record and document patient information, including medical history.Obtain and record vital signs.Assist Medical staff with patient care and communications.Clean and stock patient rooms, procedure rooms, and lab draw rooms with supplies for lab.Performs venipuncture and capillary punctures on patients.Perform injections on patients, such as vaccinations.Draw blood for testing.Perform lab testing in our office laboratory (if certified by current Lab SupervisorManage biohazard waste.Upholds all infection control, specimen collection procedures, OHSA, HIPAA and regulatory body requirements to ensure cleanliness and safety of others and self.Instrument sterilization.Perform other duties as assigned or requested within the scope of certification.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the above-listed essential duties satisfactorily.
