Cutting edge trade finance company seeks experienced underwriter for cross-border commercial transactions. Must be able to analyze financial statements, prepare spreads and provide a detailed report in regards to risk. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a requirement.Part time or full time.Responsibilities include:1. Preliminary screening of potential customers loan requests.2. Detailed analysis of transactions including customer credit and financial strength, communicating with customers as needed.3. Preparation of applications to Ex-Im Bank for guarantee and insurance approvals, communicating with Ex-Im Bank contacts as needed. Will train as necessary.4. Use and updating of in-house spreadsheet tools for preparing financial statement spreads.5. Commitment to ongoing team building and reinforcement in a rapidly growing finance company.Prerequisites:1. College degree in finance (major in banking) and/or accounting.2. Familiarity with Ex-Im Bank credit standards. Will train as necessary.3. Fluency in reading and writing English and Spanish.4. Fluency in Excel spreadsheet creation.5. Knowledge of UCA cash flow analysis.The workload is lightunderwrite 10--15 deals per year. The work environment is congenial and pleasant. The candidate will have his or her own office, parking and kitchen amenities.
