Ensures patient safety and all times and uses double identifiers.Assumes responsibility for quality of work in designated area and provides quality care to the patientAssures efficiency and effectiveness of patient care servicesProvides clerical and support services to all areas of the Department of Radiology. Responsibilities/Essential Functions: Provides superior customer services to internal and external customers and patients as referenced in the Service Excellence Standards.Perform all duties to assist the staff technologists.Assists in the orientation of technical assistants .Develops and maintains databases for radiologists, supervisors to provide excellent patient pletes all PACS duties to assure accuracy of imaging record and timeliness of interpretation.Collects all necessary patient, exam and billing information.Promotes professional image by adhering to dress code.Reports equipment problems to the Clinical Supervisor.Maintains an efficient office anizes all paperwork for all modalities such as physician orders, labs, pre certification and pre authorizations.Prepares the exam table and positions patients relative to the procedure being performed. Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of working area, preparing for the next patient as soon as the procedure is finished in order to keep the work flow progressing.Maintains proper professional demeanor to patients, medical staff, and pletes all patient tracking functions to ensure proper and accurate billing, report transcription, and image storage and retrieval.
