Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift ID 2024-2618 Category Production Operations Division Valley Packaging Division Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician on 2nd shift is responsible for providing constant support to manufacturing by maintaining equipment in good operating condition. Maintain plant equipment and facility in reliable condition. Troubleshoot and correct production line breakdowns quickly, efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

- Following all safety rules and procedures and environmental standards applicable to our process and facility.
- Team work effort and involvement in order to meet goals
- Flexible to work any shift
- Work safely and follow all established plant policies and procedures. (LOTO)
- Possesses a strong mechanical aptitude and electrical aptitude applicable to a manufacturing environment.
- Must be a TEAM player
- Follow direction and show attention to detail.
- Show a desire to keep improving in skills and knowledge
- Must utilize the I-Maint program for daily duties and input information.
- Keep work area and job site clean, neat and safe
- Good troubleshooting skills utilizing manuals, schematics, manufacture technical support line.

Qualifications

- Ability to meet the requirements of the job with or without accommodations.
- Excellent written and verbal skills

- Work as part of a team in a manufacturing operation with a goal of increasing productivity and decreasing downtime and waste.
- Follow all company safety rules and Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures
- Work with a sense of urgency to reduce downtime of machines

- Technical degree in related field
- Good math skills
- 1-2 years in a production or maintenance environment
- Strong knowledge of electrical and PLC (480VAC, 600VDC, networks, drives, communication programs.
- Ability to weld, torch cutting, fabricating when needed
- Certified to drive a tow-motor and aerial lift preferred

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range = $26.18/hr - $30.34/hr (Dependent upon Experience)
