experienced naval engineer with US Navy CVN auxiliaries' experience

to support the NAVSEA 05 SDMs, Technical Warrant Holders, and the Systems Engineering Manager (SEM). Duties and responsibilities include: Conduct engineering studies and risk analyses to resolve major technical problems which impact current and future technical efforts and operations related to auxiliary systems. Coordinate with the cognizant SEA 05 Engineering Agents, TWHs and their associated Life-Cycle Managers (LCM) and In-Service Engineering Agents (ISEA), and other technical experts and field activities. Conduct feasibility studies related to auxiliary systems to evaluate the practicability and adaptability of proposed solutions and determine the efficiency of adopted improvements to insure satisfactory progress and fulfillment of requirements. Provide engineering support for auxiliary systems, damage control, firefighting and recoverability. Participate in product reviews requiring technical expertise in support of the auxiliary systems. Review feasibility studies, shipbuilder and contractor reports etc. to ensure compliance with requirements, format and correctness, and provide comment. Provide updates to program milestones/ calendar and consolidated commitment report/action item status reports prior to each design review, Production Progress Conference or similar program management periodic status meeting. Assist with the preparation of briefs for senior management. Attend weekly staff meetings and technical meetings. Qualifications/Education: A minimum of 10 years related experience in US Navy CVN auxiliaries (HM&E, damage control, firefighting) is required. BS in engineering or equivalent desired. Operational experience in lieu of degree is acceptable. Skills and Abilities: Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to multitask. Ability to integrate in a team environment. Proficiency in the use of MS Office suite of products and web-based tools and applications. Demonstrate skills in developing presentations, both orally and in writing. Security Clearance:

Must hold an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET personnel security clearance.
